Margaret L. Woods, President & CEO
Margaret Woods has over 35 years experience in the juvenile justice, mental health, education and behavioral health fields. She is a 1999 graduate of Leadership New Jersey and has also served, and continues to serve, on panels that address issues dealing with juvenile justice, education, child behavioral health and public assistance. She is the former Associate Director of the New Jersey Governor’s Committee on Children’s Services Planning. In addition, she has served as the Executive Director of both Tri-City People’s Corporation in Newark, New Jersey and the Partnership for Neighborhood Safety, Inc. in New York City. Ms. Woods attended Wilson College in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania where she obtained a BA in Sociology. She later attended the New School for Social Research in New York.
Bryan Lee, Chief Operating Officer
Bryan Lee brings over 25 years experience of working for and advocating on behalf of families, youth and children and more than ten years experience in management, program design and service delivery to IFS. Among the responsibilities he has assumed through his long career are peer counselor, director of a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center, director of a halfway house run by a major mental health organization and vice president of services for another nonprofit agency. Mr. Lee received his Masters degree in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma and his BA in Personnel Function from Ohio State University.
Douglas Ziegler, CPA, Chief Financial Officer, has over 23 years of public accounting experience specializing in small businesses, all types of taxation, non-profit organizations and trust accounting for attorneys. In December, 2010 Mr. Ziegler retired from Family Intervention Services, Inc, a non-profit organization, as their Chief Financial Officer, a position he had held since 2001. Before that he was an Account Manager at a regional CPA Firm in Northern New Jersey. In addition, Mr. Ziegler has held a position as an adjunct professor of Accounting at Ocean County College, as well as sitting on the board and holding the position of Treasurer for the Foundation for Student Achievement. Mr. Ziegler graduated from Stockton State College with a BA in Accounting and is currently enrolled in the Rider University’s Masters of Accountancy program.
Zoraya E. Lee-Hamlin, Chief Development & Marketing Officer/Consultant
Zoraya’s specializes in non-profit management and small business development. Zoraya has over 28 years of experience in fund development and non-profit management and has a solid background in marketing, fundraising, leadership, project management, and business development. She excels in increasing non-profit productivity and fund-raising through creative marketing and public relations strategies, graphic design and digital marketing.
Our caring and dedicated program staff are committed to the youth and families we serve and adept at finding whatever help is needed—counseling services, Life Skills training, housing or employment assistance—for these Essex County residents to thrive. Our staff makes a difference every single day in the lives of the children and families who are served by IFS. As a twenty-year-old client recently said, “It’s overwhelming cause I’m not used to the life and the love that they give at IFS.”
