Chafee Funds For Youth Aging Out of Foster Care

Chafee Funds for Youth Aging Out of Foster Care

The goal of the Chafee program is to support and empower youth who are aging out of the Division of Youth and Family Services (DYFS) system to become self-sufficient. Youth can receive up to $4,000 over the duration of their participation in the program for general living and transitional support, which may include rent and security deposits, food, and tuition. For the youth that we serve, the ultimate goal is to enable them to become productive adults in our society and end their dependence on governmental services.
